'Panrock Ridge' is part of the Black Range, a granitic intrusion running south from around the Western Highway just to the south-east of Stawell. We are on a high ridge, with elevated views across the plains to the west to the Grampians, and east to Mt Langi Ghiran and Mt Cole Range beyond. As a result, we are fortunate to have a wide range of sites from north to south-facing, hot and dry amongst the numerous massive granite tors and cool and wet in the valleys and ephemeral swamps.
