Geoff began working at the Australian Botanic Garden a year before it opened in 1987. His role in the Garden's development is hard and soft landscape design, project management, construction and infrastructure management.Just like a painting, we can use colour in the Australian Botanic Garden to create harmony and dramatic effect. Using the colour wheel is a great way to begin exploring the use of colour and combinations. The primary colours blue, yellow and red can give a garden personality and connect directly with our emotions. With tints and shades of colours adjacent to each other on the colour wheel we can create harmony in our garden, while colours opposing each other create contrast.
