Bringing back the love of practice is vital to the nursing profession. This article suggests three simple rules that will foster engagement for nurses and thus the love of practice. First, touch base with all nurses weekly to ask them three simple questions. During the onboarding process, let newly hired nurses know why they were chosen, what strengths were seen in them, and how they will add value to the organization.
