Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common supraventriculartachycardia and its development isrelated to the patient’s background, such as anadvanced age, male sex, hypertension, obesity, alcoholintake, and sleep apnea syndrome.1 Catheter ablation hasrevealed the mode of AF onset. Focal atrial activity, suchas supraventricular premature complexes (SVPCs) or atrialtachycardia initiate AF. This focal atrial activity mainlyoriginates from the pulmonary veins.
