The COVID-19 pandemic has become a tsunami of major proportions that is devastating many facets of our present daily life. It is profoundly affecting our financial, social, cultural, spiritual, educational and emotional aspects of life as well as our health, transportation, food and work. Physicians' lives are overwhelmed in a monumental way. Inadequate resources for testing, preventing spread of illness and treating patients have been a major hurdle and stressor for physicians. In addition, lack of proper personal protective equipment while caring for patients is creating a frightening situation for physicians and family members being infected. Potential income loss occurs as many shift to telemedicine or cancel elective procedures, visits and treatments. Drastic changes are happening in all aspects of medicine.
