Indonesia's state-owned Pertamina has decided to postpone the construction of the 300K-b/d integrated refinery in East Kalimantan. Construction on the mega complex has been halted as Pertamina is "assessing more detail on oil supply and demand," according to Ignatius Tallulembang, Pertamina's Director, Mega Project Refinery Petrochemical. The company earlier signed an agreement with Oman's Overseas Oil and Gas LLC (OOGC) to construct the Bontang facility with OOGC having a 90 share in the project and Pertamina holding a 10 golden share. The refinery would have 60K b/d in gasoline production in 124K b/d in diesel output, both meeting Euro-4 standards. A senior official with Pertamina said, "Bontang is still on the list, but currendy we are focusing on the existing ones."
