摘要

A novel finite element model for geometrically nonlinear analysis of laminated composite plates is proposed in this paper. It is based on a seven-variables higher-order shear deformation theory that only requires a C-0-type continuity. The finite element method with mixed interpolation of tensorial components approach (MITC) is considered in which an MITC3 three-node triangle element with seven degree-of-freedoms per nodes, cell- and edge-based strain smoothing techniques is developed. The geometrical nonlinearity of the plates involving by von Karman strain is formed in the total Lagrange approach based on the small strain assumptions. Numerical examples of cross-ply laminated composite plates are provided to investigate the validation of the proposed method.
