This study aims to identify the response of local tomato genotypes to drought under high temperature conditions. The research was conducted on a floating system during May and July of 2019. Eighty-four local genotypes in total were used in the study with a hybrid cultivar. After seedlings were grown in peat under controlled conditions, they were transferred to a ventilated floating water culture (3 pots for each genotype). Diluted Hoagland nutrient solution (EC: 1.92-2.08 dS m~(-1), pH: 6.16-6.38) was added to pots (1 L plant~(-1)). In order to induce drought stress, PEG 6000 was applied to seedlings. For a period of 18 days PEG 6000 was gradually applied to seedlings at the osmotic pressure level of -0.25, -0.50, -0.75 and -1.00 bar. The plants were kept at each pressure level for 48 h. The morphological measurement of plant height, stem diameter, leaf number and leaf thickness were noted. PEG treatment caused a decrease in these parameters, however tomato genotypes displayed different responses against drought.
