Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a complex psychological issue that is thought to occur as the result of exposure to any traumatic event. Given the nature of their work, radiology professionals are often exposed to a significant amount of emotional and physical trauma, which can lead to a variety of stress-related issues. Even under normal circumstances their role on the patient care team is demanding. However, COVID-19 has brought forth new challenges and stressors for radiology professionals.
