Departing faa administrator Steve Dickson, in one of his last public appearances, boldly announced that the FAA would partner with the aviation and petroleum industries and by 2030 "remove more than 350 tons of lead from the atmosphere" annually. He said this would be accomplished by eliminating lead from aviation gasoline. No one could argue with the rightness of that goal.
