Microsoft has removed the 'safeguard hold' that was preventing Windows 11 users from running virtualisation software VirtualBox when they had Hyper-V or the Windows Hypervisor installed. It had been blocking VirtualBox since Windows 11 launched because it said the software wouldn't run smoothly in the operating system. As Microsoft explains , the reason it has removed the block is because Oracle, which makes VirtualBox, has updated its program to eradicate incompatibility problems. It made the change in version 6.1.28, so if you're running that, or a later version, check to see whether it now works. If you've not installed it, visit VirtualBox's download site and click the 'Windows hosts' link. At the time of press, version 6.1.32 was the most recent version (see screenshot below).
