摘要

A tri‐band shared‐aperture antenna operating at both the sub‐6G and millimeter‐wave bands is proposed for 5G/B5G communications. It is small in size owing to the structure sharing technique. Four longitudinal slots are etched on the top of a substrate integrated waveguide (SIW), forming a millimeter‐wave antenna operating at 28 GHz. Meanwhile, the outer conductor of the entire SIW is used to realize a monopole antenna that can operate at 3.5 and 4.9 GHz, respectively. The structure reuse efficiency of the monopole radiating area is about 80. A tri‐band microstrip line to SIW transition is proposed to excite different transmission modes in the sub‐6G and millimeter‐wave bands, thus, realizing the proposed large frequency ratio tri‐band antenna with a single shared port. A prototype of the proposed antenna is fabricated and measured, and the measured results agree well with the simulated ones, validating the correctness of this design.
