摘要

We proposed and numerically demonstrated a long-range surface plasmon resonance (LRSPR) imaging sensor (2S2G prism/Cytop/Au/antimonene/BRE/sensing medium) structures for the sensing of large-sized biomolecules in the visible range. The proposed LRSPR sensor exhibits ultrahigh imaging sensitivity (5766.2 RIU-1), detection accuracy (100 deg.(-1)), and figure of merit (1960 RIU-1). The numerical analysis demonstrates a significant improvement in sensor performance when compared to conventional SPR sensor structures. In particular, the proposed imaging sensor demonstrates 40.1 times and a 54.2 times enhancement in imaging sensitivity over SPR structures without antimonene (2S2G prism/Au/BRE/sensing medium) and with antimonene (2S2G prism/Au/antimonene/BRE/sensing medium), respectively. The proposed LRSPR sensor's larger penetration depth (PD = 3.79 mu m) indicates its appropriateness for detection of larger biomolecule due to the effect of long-range surface plasmon polaritons. Therefore, the proposed LRSPR sensor paves the way for very sensitive and high-throughput assessment of a wide range of biomolecular interactions.
