Renova, a renewable energy IPP in Japan, is to participate in the development of the 17.4 MW Kiangan hydropower project in the Philippines, following an agreement for financing of the project. Renova announced its participation on 27 August following the conclusion of loan agreements with the Philippine Development Bank and other financial institutions. The project is to be constructed in the northern Philippines province of Ifugao on the island of Luzon, and Renova is implementing it jointly with local renewable developer Alternergy Holdings Corporation and construction company Santa Clara International Corporation.
