Hydro's business area Extruded Solutions closed its Precision Tubing Pune plant in India on 20 June. The basis for continued operation was not present, said the company. Hydro PT Pune made losses in 2019 and is expected to make a loss also in 2020. The long-term market outlook is negative for PT Pune, as most products are used for the combustion engine market where demand for Pune products is declining. The plant employs 61 people.
