摘要

abstract_textpGiven growing climatic constraints, it is increasingly difficult for farm livestock systems to annually-produce enough forage to be self-sufficient. Nutrient availability plays a key role in forage production. Consequently, it is crucial to implement suitable fertilisation regimes to (1) meet forage crops' annual needs for nitrogen and (2) maintain levels of other nutrients to sustainably manage soil fertility, such that production potential is stable across both wet and dry years./ppHere, we review how to calculate the provisional nitrogen (N) dose and how to employ the manure-based phosphorus-potassium reasoning method for grasslands and forage maize. The N needs of grasslands can be determined for different farm types and production cycles. Additionally, in the case of permanent grasslands, it is possible to analyse grass samples instead of soil samples to diagnose phosphorus (P) and/or potassium (K) deficiencies./ppRegardless of the method used, it is crucial to regularlyperform such assessments given that declines in soil P and reductions in PK fertilisation have been observed across all of France. This situation may result in nutrient deficiencies becoming a more common problem in the future./p/abstract_text
