Denso North America launched the Denso Bore-Wrap, an abrasion-resistant outer-wrap (ARO) that helps to withstand impact, gouge, abrasion and fracture. Bore-Wrap creates a sacrificial outer laminate layer that protects both pre-approved field joint coatings and mainline coatings (such as liquid epoxy coatings, three-layer polyethylene 3LPE, three-layer polypropylene 3LPP and fusion-bonded epoxy FBE coatings) from damage during pipeline installations, in difficult terrain or by means of trenchless installation methods, such as directional drilling, horizontal direction drilling (HDD) or boring.
