摘要

The theory and applications of discontinuous control systems have become anactive research subject in nonlinear science and have attracted more attention inmany fields. Numerous real-world systems are regularly subjected to short-termchanges at some instants that affect the state variables. Hence, it is natural to in-clude impulsive conditions in the corresponding models, and to study their effect onthe behavior and properties of the impulsively generalized models. Also, the type ofcontrol strategy called impulsive control, in which the control signals are input intoa system only at some time instants, has been effciently used in population control,ecosystem control, neuronal dynamics control and other fields. The advantages inusing impulsive controllers in stability and stabilization of systems are also verywell known. Other specific types of discontinuous control include switching control,fuzzy control, sliding mode control, and optimal control. In addition, the methodsused in the investigation of the solutions of discontinuous control systems, and theirwide applications have gained considerable popularity.
