摘要

The development of cost-effective, abundant, and durable catalyst accelerating oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is of important significance for commercialization of fuel cells and metal-oxygen batteries. In this work, the nanostructure of Mn3O4/Graphene Quantum Dots (GQDs) was reported as a novel and high-performance ORR catalyst. The Mn3O4 nanoparticles were carted on GQDs via facile electrodeposition method. The performance of fabricated catalyst towards ORR is similar to Pt/C catalyst. The ORR onset potential for Mn3O4/GQDs-CP is - 0.1 V vs. (Hg/HgO), which is similar to that of the Pt/C-CP. The diffusion-limiting current density of the Mn3O4/GQDs-CP is approximately -3.1 mA cm(-2), which is higher than the Mn3O4/C-CP (-2.5 mA cm(-2)) and GQDs/CP (- 2.01 mA cm(-2)). Moreover, the higher stability was obtained for Mn3O4/GQDs-CP in comparison to Pt/C-CP. The excellent catalytic activity of the Mn3O4/GQDs-CP electrode stemmed from the synergistic effect between Mn3O4 and the GQDs nanoparticles.
