摘要

The state-of-the-art in computer modeling of various aerospace applications is presented. The review is mainly based on results obtained at TsAGI and some other major centers of computer modeling in Russia. The importance of experimental validation of mathematical models and computer codes is discussed. A few examples of calculation results and their validation along with some existing challenges are presented. Based on the author aerodynamic background most of the examples are related to computational fluid dynamics. Some of the results, discussed in this paper, were presented at the scientific session of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
