As part of the Fraunhofer Cluster of Excellence Programmable Materials CPM, the Application Center Textile Fiber Ceramics (AWZTFK) is developing innovative auxetic folded structures in knitted fabrics. The aim is to implement auxetic unit cells as the smallest building unit in a programmable material with textile manufacturing processes.
