Brewing giant Anheuser-Busch InBev reported sales growth of more than 15 per cent for 2021 as volumes climbed amid an easing of pandemic lockdowns worldwide. Revenue at the world's largest producer of beer was US$54.3 billion, up from $46.8bn in 2020, to the end of December. Fourth quarter revenue was up more than 12 per cent to $14.2bn. Beer volumes rose almost 10 per cent. Chief executive Michel Doukeris, who replaced longstanding boss Carlos Brito in May, said the strong results were a reward for sticking to its corporate purpose of harnessing its global reach and infrastructure to create new products and be more sustainable.
