Despite regional gasoline consumption rising at diesel's expense, Stephen Jones of Argus believes that Europe's gasoline demand will begin falling in 2025. Even as domestic refineries increase complexity and seek to export gasoline to less-developed regions that will continue to see demand growth, US producers have taken control of demand in Latin America while China dominates Asia-Pacific market. Middle Eastern countries will also increase domestic refining capacities, according to Argus's Chris Judge. The diesel market is expected to slow as demand from the Mediterranean, Africa, and Latin America will not be able to keep up with rising exports from central and east Asia, Russia, and the Middle East.
