CEATI International's Hydropower Conference, taking place in Palm Springs, USA, will focus on the opportunities and challenges that utilities are facing, with a specific focus on retrofitting dams for extended life, extreme events and the increased need for flexibility, and opportunities for powerplant modernization. There are three sub-themes under the over-arching conference theme of: Opportunities and Challenges in a Changing Landscape. Subtopic one will focus on dam safety, subtopic two will be on hydropower operations and planning, and subtopic three will be on hydropower plant equipment. The 5th International Conference and Exhibition Desalination Latin America will focus on developing effective strategies, sharing experiences, presenting new investment projects and innovations, consolidating efforts of governments and business to implement desalination projects and to increase water supplies throughout Latin America. The Renexpo Interhydro trade fair and congress, taking place in Salzburg, Austria, will be a two-day event, discussing current issues such as political and legal framework conditions, e-mobility, energy storage, maintenance and modernization, water-ecologically compatible hydropower expansion, and international markets.
