The conservation of biodiversity, and particularly of cultivated biodiversity or agro-biodiversity is an issue of growing importance, particularly due to the acceleration of global change that is affecting the planet, human health, and nutrition. Thisarticle presents the strategy and the diversity of conservation actions of horticultural genetic resources as currently practiced in France. It also emphasizes the international horticultural connections of the French Republic, which include temperate,Mediterranean, as well as tropical environments, particularly considering overseas departments and territories.
