The following important findings of the above study are summarized as the conclusions: (1) The effect of bursting behaviour is more prominent in the case of individual cloth parameters than their combined apporach. (2) The tensile properties of the plain woven fabrics are more related to bursting strength than to tearing work. (3) The bursting strength often remains the same when the linear density or thread density of plain woven fabrics is considered with regards to their tensile strength in either direction. (4) The bursting strength of the plain woven fabrics does not change with linear density or thread density of either direction with respect to tearing work for warp and weft directions. (5) The cover of the cloths has direct contribution to the bursting strength of fabrics.
