Huasheng alumina refinery in Guangxi province, southern China, has started operations on its second production line that will add 1m typ of alumina capacity to an already oversupplied market, reports market specialist Fastmarkets. The refinery will reach an estimated 100,000 tonnes of alumina output in November. Huasheng alumina refinery, which began construction in October 2018, is a subsidiary of Aluminum Corp. of China (Chalco).
