摘要

A study was conducted during the months of April, May, June and July for the years of 2017 and 2018 to evaluate food baits to monitor the black fig fly, Silba adipata McAlpine (Diptera: Lonchaeidae), population in fig orchard. The trials took place in an orchard of the cultivar 'Bêbera branca' occupying an area of 1,500 m~2 and located in the municipality of Castro Marim, Algarve-Portugal. For these purpose Tephri traps supplemented with aqueous food attractants (5 aqueous solution of protein hydrolysate and 5 aqueous solution of diammonium phosphate) were used. To increase the attractivity of the black fig fly all the traps contained four small branches (3 cm long) of fig tree and a dispenser with hexanol. Traps were suspended on fig trees 1.5 m from the ground and inside canopies. Weekly 300 mL of aqueous attractants were used into the traps and the trapped insects were counted. Results indicated significant differences (p<0.05) between the two tested food attractants based on the number of insects captured. The traps baited with protein hydrolysate captured 5 times more S. adipata than similarly traps baited with diammonium phosphate.
