Doha-Qatar-Energy said it has picked ConocoPhillips as the third partner in the North Field East(NFE)liquefied natural gas(LNG)expansion project in Qatar,the"single largest"project in the history of the LNG industry(PCN,11 July 2022,p4).The project,estimated to cost $28.75-billion,is expected to increase Qatar's LNG capacity to 110-million t/y from 77-million t/y by 2026.The expansion will add four new LNG trains,and will integrate carbon capture and sequestration to cut emissions.
