Oil futures sold off heavily on Friday, closing out a week that was dominated by concerns about the health of oil demand amid intensifying recessionary fears. “The whole complex is under a dark macro cloud, ” said Patricia Hemsworth of Paragon Global Markets. In London, Brent crude for December delivery settled $2.94 lower at $91.63 per barrel. In New York, November West Texas Intermediate (WTI) on Nymex dropped $3.50 to close at $85.61/bbl, while the December contract sank $3.30 to end the session at $84.65/bbl.
