Hanson UK has donated stone from its Horton quarry in Settle to help build a new path for walkers in the Yorkshire Dales. Around 600 tonnes of aggregate is being flown by helicopter to the top of Ingleborough in the Yorkshire Dale National Park, which is one kilometre away from the quarry. Over a 10-day period, rangers and volunteers from the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority will use the stone to construct a 1.3km path through Sulber Nick, which is part of the Three Peaks walking route.
