Abstract In this article, the dependence of the technological properties and erosion resistance of samples of polyurethane erosion-resistant enamel under various modes of insertion and preparation of reinforcing filler—filiform crystals of zinc oxide—is investigated. The structure and composition of the reinforcing filler is studied. It is shown that the method of preparation of the reinforcing filler and the mode of its insertion during the dispersion of the paint and varnish composition significantly affect the lifetime of polyurethane enamel and erosion resistance.
