As Thomas Judd notes in the opening sections of the announcement video, winning the 2023 Jersey Canada Master Breeder Award was an achievement 77 years in the making for the family. In 1946, Fred Judd Sr. and his son, Ron, established Meadow Lynn Farms in Simcoe, Ontario. The farm name, and subsequent Jersey prefix, were directly inspired from the location on the meadows of the Lynn River about five miles north of Lake Erie in Norfolk County.
