摘要

The crisis of the world aircraft industry in 1911-1914 was first identified and described. The production of aircraft in the most developed countries during this period was reducing, the rate of creation of new models was slowing down. The crisis, masked by the growth of the total world production of aircraft and the improvement of their performance, was identified by analyzing the data on the development and production of aircraft around the world in 1901 -1918. The author offers explanations of the causes of this crisis, and reveals the impact of state support on mitigating its manifestations.
