The list of ingredients that feed manufacturers have available to make liquid feeds has increased dramatically during the last 10 years. Thereare three major factors driving this trend. First, there are more industries that use fermentation in their manufacturing processes. This increase has resulted in a greater amount of byproducts. Second, strict, new environmental guidelines have prevented many industries from disposing of their high-moisture byproducts through traditional methods such as land filling. Therefore, much of it is being recycled by the feed industry. Third, suspension technology has allowed for greater use of dry ingredients in liquid feed.
