The hematological and cytochemical parameters of the peripheral blood of the spotted barracudinaArctozenus risso and the sharpchin barracudina Paralepis coregonoides (Paralepididae) are studied for the firsttime from the materials of a survey in the Irminger Sea in 2018. It was shown that erythropoiesis in both fishspecies studied is approximately the same. Normoblasts and erythrocytes are present. The lymphoid characterof the blood of both fish species was established by comparative analysis of leukograms. It was noted thata large proportion of mature segmented forms, i.e., neutrophils responsible for noncongenital nonspecificcellular immunity, is characteristic of sharpchin barracudina.
