Following on from the refresh of the MagicBook 14 (reviewed in Issue 608), Chinese manufacturer Honor has done a similar spruce-up on its 16.1in laptop, the MagicBook 16. There's only one model and - while it will probably become available on Amazon and other online stores eventually - currently you can only buy it directly from Honor for £849. As before, it's an impressive specification for the price. The processor is an AMD six-core Ryzen 5 5600H. This is last year's technology, but few people are going to complain about the speed of this chip as it tears through tasks. It costs around £100 more than the Acer TravelMate P4 P414-51 we reviewed in Issue 626, but the Honor scores 6,085 in our benchmark test, compared with the TravelMate's score of 4,598. That's a significant improvement in Windows performance, no doubt aided by its 16GB of RAM and speedy 512GB SSD.
