Hydro looks back on a satisfactory year 2020. "The pandemic put us all to the test last year. Yet, Hydro managed an extraordinary 2020 carefully, emerging stronger and well positioned to deliver on our agenda to become a profitable and more sustainable industry leader," president and CEO Hilde Merete Aasheim said in her letter to shareholders. In 2020 Hydro generated revenue of NOK 138bn ({EUR}13.7bn), down 7.8 on the previous year. Earnings before interest and taxes (Ebit) improved by 80 to NOK6.05bn. The largest contributers to Ebit were Extrusion (NOK2.2bn, +9.3) and Bauxite Alumina (NOK1.8bn, +85.4). In contrast, earnings from Rolling fell to NOK70m (-83).
