Niehoff's wire 2022 trade fair motto was "Sustainability and energy saving." What does that mean for the company, its products and its users? Below, Niehoff staff member Simon Greger explains. We understand sustainability as the responsible and efficient use of resources such as energy, raw materials and operating materials. Our company pursues a holistic concept that includes manufacturing environment, in-house processes, machine design and not least their operational behavior. When it comes to sustainability, the company starts with itself. For example, the buildings at its headquarters in Schwabach near Nuremberg meet the low-energy house standard. Geothermal energy and the use of waste heat from production machines play a central role in air conditioning, and LED lighting helps to further save energy. Niehoff also operates a paint shop that does not generate any wastewater and is equipped with an air-to-air heat exchanger.
