Lockheed martin F-35s being delivered today are cheaper to acquire than they have ever been-and even cost less than some competitors that are in some ways less capable. The version of the single-engine stealth fleet that will be ordered in fiscal 2023 is also expected to be the most advanced, featuring the full, final suite of powerful software and hardware upgrades of the Block 4 modernization program.
