The recent Hong Kong Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2005 collections attracted 767 exhibitors from Hong Kong, China Mainland, India, Taiwan, Thailand, Korea, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Macau, France, the US and Australia. Special areas were designed to cater to the different needs of visiting buyers, including the Garment and Accessories Mart, Fashion Gallery (including the International Fashion Designers" Showcase), Body and Intimate Wear Zone, and the Bridal and Evening Wear Zone. Special fashion shows included those of Hong Kong, Indonesian and Korean designers, the new talent spot being the Hong Kong New Fashion Collection Award. A total of seven fashion industry trend and market seminars were scheduled, inclusive of forecasts for the new season, nanotechnology and entering the China fashion brand market.
