AbstractThis paper presents uniformly calculated surface‐wave magnitudes of over 400 earthquakes in the European area and adjacent regions associated with strong‐motion recordings. Seismic moments and body‐wave magnitudes are estimated also, so that they may be used in the derivation of attenuation laws.
