Thanhs to Juche Travel Services-which specializes in tours of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK)-and the Korea International Travel Company (KITC), in May a group of aviation enthusiasts was able to sample Air Koryo, one of the least known airlines of the world. The excursion began in Beijing, with a lhr 15min flight by Ilyushin I1-62M to P'yongyang-Sunan Kukche Konghang (IATA: FNJ). With Runway 17/35 closed, we landed on the 4,000m (13,123ft)-long Runway 01.
