Longitudinal slitting machines on which the rolled width of an aluminium coil is slitted into several strips according to need, are encountered with increasing frequency. To make this technique attractive for smaller batch sizes as well, it is desirable to reduce the fitting times for such equipment.This purpose is served by an automatic circular blade positioning system of the type now offered by Dienes Werke. Under the name "Modul IV", Dienes offers a new concept with motor-driven bottom blades and pneumatic blade holders.
