On display will be a fully operational corrugated metal tape shielding/armouring line for fibreoptic, copper telephone, power and speciality cables. It will consist of: a buttweld metal tape splicing machine for the continuous butt-weld splicing of plain and polymer-laminated metal tapes; a metal tape corrugating machine; and a corrugated metal tape forming machine for the longitudinal application of a plain or polymer-laminated corrugated metal tape around a cable core. Another feature of the stand will be the company's Inductoweld continuous seam welded sheathing system for coaxial cables, optical fibre cables and power cables. Weber Scher recently introduced its latest equipment for compound pressure filling multiconductor copper telephone cable cores to prevent the ingress and migration of moisture.
