Ircon's new MR-30 infrared thermometer is capable of measuring temperatures from 250 to 1,400 deg C, eliminating the need for multiple sensors in many applications. Featuring Indium Gallium Arsenide (InGaAs) detector technology, the thermometer operates at the infrared wavelength of 1.6 mum and can be used for ferrous and nonferrous metal processing applications, including annealing, heat treatment and metal forming. The inherent stability of the InGaAs detector allows it to operate in ambient temperatures of up to 60 deg C without requiring any external cooling. For exceptionally hot ambient conditions, water-cooled versions are supplied. The compact, multi-function indicator/ processor unit of the MR-30 is designed for simple installation, operation and service. A large, visible four-digit liquid crystal display provides clear indication of temperature.
