The thirteenth case of malignant mixed muuml;llcrian tumor of the fallopian tube is reported. These tumors occur predominantly in post-menopausal women. Mean age of the patients at the time of operation was 52 years, and mean survival after diagnosis was 7 months. The longest survival was 15 months. Comparison with clinical data on mixed muuml;llerian tumors of the endometrial cavity reveals that for both sites the behavior and fatal outcome of the neoplasm is the same. The histogenesis of mixed muuml;llerian tumors of the fallopian tube is controversial. Available information suggests that the tumor arises in the tubal stroma rather than in foci of endometriosis.
