In the Letter "Laccase-based dye decolorization using agro-wastes: comment on Santhanam et.al." by P.K. Suresh, Sridhar Sundaram and Chinnathambi Velu, which was published in the July 2012 issue of Trends in Biotechnology, the first two sentences in the third paragraph contain errors regarding the identity and number of amino acids. This change does not affect the conclusions mentioned in the paper.
