The use of stamp charging has helped Tata Steel produce superior quality coke with a coke strength after reactivity value ranging between 63 and 66. Along with other control measures, the use of 100 percent stamp charged coke in the G blastfurnace has helped increase furnace productivity, decrease the coke rate and increase the coal injection rate.
