When Lou Iovoli, Hammer Lithograph's director of marketing, called me recently and told me about Hammer's proposed new plant on a parcel of land bought from Rochester Institute of Technology, I congratulated him. Then I asked him to forward, to me a release about the new plant and if possible, a photo for publication in the next issue of PPC. "Again, congratulations, Lou." But in that smooooooth technique unique to marketing directors, PR agency account reps and New Yorkers in general (hey, no calls, please), he denied me the opportunity to hang up until he had the chance to tell me "the rest of the story."
